I have done single day events of 31, 35 and 50 miles but I have always felt as if an elephant has sat on my lower half the next day.  I couldn't even manage a recovery run the day after the Thames Trot.  I think that multi day events are definitely

multi day race next year which consists of 16 days of consecutive running. My question is should I look at a more structured proceess for recovery post run? I am not a fan of protein / recovery shakes but I am willing to give them a trial
