progress by running an 8 mile route which I would complete in 59 minutes. (This was 3 months ago).Since then I have upped my training but can only knock 2 minutes off this time.Is this good progress or bad over a 3 month period - I would really like to run

that the additional distance might be too much given (what feels like) my slow progress. I'd appreciate any opinions, James I reckon you're doing fantastic - some suggestions though.3 times a week seems to bring much quicker progress than twice a week. 30 minutes

do it slowjo. You are probably improving without realising it Yup, I'd second all that. I think nobody makes steady progress. In a bit of a trough myself just now. I was really chuffed to discover I could "run" for longer than half an hour

interval progression

at between 3.24 and 3.26 and the last one in 3.30 then you know you've reached your limit. If you can do 3.20 for the last one then the next time you may try 3 at 3.22 and see how the last one goes. This is the main way I progress my interval training
