need to go to a specialist running shop. There, they will look at your gait and check joint alignment etc and can recommend the correct choice of shoe for you specifically. You can also mention the problems you have had in the past so they can gauge

orthotics +/- motion control shoes

suitable shop is quite revealing too and should help with your choice. I had the same done. The orthotics need to go into neutral shoes. You also need to take out the insole already in there if there's any thickness to it.I stuck mine in Nike Air pegasus
