Tri-bars or cycling shoes & clip-pedals?
by Scrooge

toe box - not many do!!!. I use look pedals because I always have but Shimano Road SPD's look very light. For £100 you could easily buy some Look pedals (£30 for old model in cycling press) and £70 for the shoes. Shimano do a clip-on shoe that doubles

at the time, but I bought it second hand off somebody who never got round to using it for around £250. Upgrades to the spec listed are a set shimano SPD pedals, profile century tri bars, profile aquarack (double behind seat jobby) & brand new vittoria corsa

For the ponces by Cal.Fe

!Can you get the shimano spd (mtb only) little metal cleats with float?Or is it the plate in the shoe that floats (or in the case of my mtb shoes, doesn't) The cleat in the shoe is totally and utterly fixed to the shoe. as DM says - plate is fixed, float

Technical (Or not!) bike questions
Bit of help needed here..... by Hess

Thanks FBThe pedals are Shimano PD R540 SPD-SL I have specialized shoes. If its better for your knees then maybe I should stick with the float, it just feels a bit odd to me, but maybe over time I'll get used to itDo you think its worth leaving the saddle

baby jogger or bike tow-er?
by Jen Lindsey

initially and then ran with it when dd had better head control at 5m. Also manages to get up hills nicely if you do any hill walking. I had SPD during pregnancy (i.e knackered pelvis) and still managed to run (albeit slowly) fine with it. Was going to buy

Anyone selling a bike?
50/52cm up to £200 by pain is temporary

only. I started my Tri training on it and added stubby bar ends to the flat bars, and spd pedals. Done me proud, now have a Bianchi so don't need it. Have been thinking of selling it. Cost me £389 in Oct 2009. V happy with £200 for it! I'm in Lancashire.
