Speedwork following Half marathon

I did a (rather tough) half marathon at the weekend. I've since had a rest day and done three days of easy running, but is there a "rule" about how long you should leave it after a race before resuming speedwork and tempo runs? I usually do 35 miles

Slowing down on speedwork sessions
