Low Tarmac

Can anyone recommend half marathons that have a low tar-mac content please newforest?? is sept I like it ! They should market it as a healthier half - Low Tar ! Yorkshireman Off Road Marathon. Sun 12th September.Ta ta for now.

best for marathon training

for the muscles. you need to become familiar with the tarmac pounding as that will be what the race will throw at you.mix it up and get the best of both as marshallini has done

Hi,Does anyone know a rough guide or as heard of a rough guide as to how much you lose per mile from running on dirt tracks against tarmac. Only ask as I've a 1.5 mile flat..ish circuit around a reservoir and have just done 6 miles at M

Barkles.I had my "near tarmac experience" at a traffic lights though - only a handy metal railing saved me from huge embarassment.I didn't know you could adjust them? Ok - I managed to do it properly last night - smacked into the tarmac at a traffic lights

guide that can convert your off road pace to let you know what to expect on tarmac? It's fine to do your long runs off road.Tbh unless it's very poorly surfaced (e.g. very muddy / long grass) there will be very little difference for different surfaces

Shoe recommendations for tarmac 24hr race

Hi guys I'm looking for suggestions for good comfy shoes for a 24hr race on tarmac. My normal shoes are Mizuno Wave Mushas but they have little to no cushioning so I think they will be wholly unsuitable (and painful) for that kind of time on feet. I
