running over seafront tarmac twice) or the plastic cups (useless to drink from on the run) i also ran this, my first time on the new course (hated the old course). I didnt mind the 2 lap route to be honest. was good to always be with ppl. Agree
?cheers!esteban EstebanAssuming its the same as previous years, I think it should be a good one for you. From recollection, it's all on tarmac - either park roads or footpaths - and is 3 laps of Dulwich Park. Well marshalled, signed and timed. There's a slight uphill
it was all downhill!Discovered that i am prone to knee pains and tight shin muscles so i'll be taking it more gently from now.Does running on a different surface to tarmac help much? Hi ShamusCongratulations on your first run - it does get easier
Wondering whether to enter this one or not... Any thoughts?? It's either this or the castle combe 10K, but running round a tarmac race track sounds a bit boring. I need to see trees!! I'm thinking the same choice myself. Not sure how
any bike, but I would imagine if you are using a mountain bike, and the route is on tarmac/asphalt, then it would be a good idea to fit "slicks" or road tyres, any other changes you'd make to the bike would be to your preference, i.e. saddle, water

runner and usually go for a lightish, low profile running shoe. Thanks in advance. Brooks ASR 7s are the shoes I use for light trails and I find them great, good grip in all but the worst of conditions but plenty of cushioning for the bits of tarmac
Hi, I'm a beginner runner and have decided to take it more seriously by trying for longer distances. Therefore, as my current shoes are no longer up to standard , will be needing two types of new shoes(price is not an issue), one for tarmac
on different sections. It is mostly track with a few tarmac sections. I haven't run much near the East Neuk so I can't comment on that section though. There are lots of lovely routes in Fife. Join a local club (there are several) and you'll be shown around.
