Not quite sure, but you could do 1 mile, then 4
strides
over half a mile, before the intervals. 1 mile is not much of a warm up before interval training.

I understand the concept of
strides
i.e. build up to a fast pace over 100m and then slow down to a jog and then repeat - however what I don't understand is the following training run on the Runners world marathon training schedule: Sub 3:45 Ultimate Marathon ScheduleWeek Seven (40M)Mon Rest Tue 6 of 1M jog and

, then 10 x 400 mins, with 200m (1-min 30) jog recoveries, then 1M jog what does this mean???does it mean do a jog and

for the first mile and then start 10x400mins - I assume this a typeo error and it should be 10 x 400metersAny ideas???thanks
