Hi all,When doing a long run in prep for the FLM, do you run at one slow pace all the way, or add some marathon pace at the end? e.g. say a 3 hr run would you run slow for 2 hrs and then at your m.pace for the last 60?Thanks!Nav Whatever you plan
is if I run to the football and back I can get about 6 miles in, which at the required long run speed will be about 45 - 50mins or so plus an hour to an hour and a half running around like a headless chicken.Could this constitute as a long run
I usually run on a Sunday morning with friends for 8-10mile on a x-country route. I enjoy the course but would like to do more over the weekend. Can the long run be done over two days? I would like to run at a more leisurely pace on the Saturday
regarding long runs etc. I aim to run under 4.5 hours in the marathon. It sounds like you want to do your long run and a medium long run on consecutive days in training. So you could (for example) build up to running 12 miles on Saturday followed by 20 miles
I have been running 30 miles per week since the last FLM, training for half marathons, the last of which was in October. Since then I have gradually increased my mileage to 45-50 miles per week taking my long runs up to 16 miles.I am running well
I read somewhere that your long run should not contribute more than a certain percentage of your weekly mileage. I forget what the exact number was!I currently run around 16 miles/week but I don't have time to run as much as I'd like during the week
hi, im planning to do a long run each week as part of my training, jus wanted to know how long the run should be? and how long each mile should take me?currently running 7 min miles for an hour run thats a bit of a how longs a peice of string
sorry if i'm posting too many posts...i just have a question about long runs. my long run is 9ish miles. (i know.. i know, not long compared to some of ye). anyway this week i have a slight cold on me. my run this morning was a huffer puffer, mind
that says to run your long runs @ 10k pace plus 1 minute. For my previous marathons I've done 3x 20 milers and 3 22+ milers. I've a fear of being underprepared for my next marathon in 8 weeks' time, but was trying to run less mileage but higher quality
Hi,I am fairly new to running. I've been running for about 8-9 months and I am going to run the London Marathon. I know I must be mad!!!I am doing approximatelt 35 to 40 miles a week, but what I really want to know is what constitutes a long run
