the recovery times being a little too long.I usually do a jogged 400m recovery (approx 2 mins) after doing my 800's in around 2:50.Not sure how this equates to marathon time as I havent yet done one to check but it feels ok to me! I do same as NE, 400m jog. I

Currently I'm doing 4 x 800m at 13k/hr with 5 min jog intervals and ready to push harder.Is it better to reduce the jog recoveries or move to 5x800? What is the theory? I'm training for a faster half than my previous 1.50 and hopefully a marathon

Is anyone planning on this/ has already done it?

I'm only going to do one marathon this autumn in order to try and do as well as possible. I've a busy summer planned so would like to have as much recovery time as possible. Has anyone done this race? Would you recommend it?

I thought with marathon plans you were supposed to have an easier long run every 4 weeks, so 3 weeks getting longer then one week lower mile...

I thought with marathon plans you were supposed to have an easier long run every 4 weeks, so 3 weeks getting longer then one week lower mileage for recovery. That does not seem to happen here. Am I mistaken?
