I am a 41 year old sub 4 hour (just) marathon runner.Two stone overweight, drink too much beer and always promising to change my ways and train more.

really enjoy running but tend to run more to keep in shape as i have a tendency to drink too much wine and beer! well we all have our weaknesses...especially as i am working in madrid at the moment
with Computers and trying not to drink :o
BEING A VET 55 FELL RUNNER I PROBABLY DRINK TOO MUCH BUT IT DOES TAKE AWAY THE PAIN AFTER(AND SOMETIMES BEFORE) AN EVENT-RACES LIKE PAPS OF JURA OR THE BEN NEVIS NEED SOME ANTIDOTE
I am 41 yrs old and have taken part in sport on and off all my life, I have to admit I HAVE ALSO SMOKED ON AND OFF!Stopped at the moment but dont intend to stop drinking!
I have also have raced the Snowdonia Marathon twice. If you have never done it, give it ago great race and lot,s of drink stations that also give out chocolate after 13 miles.
Ran my only marathon at age 50 2hrs 59m 19s. Doing Luxembourg next year when I will be 60 Just getting to think about starting a training program.Should I be drinking this?
