Could have been olympic 100m champion if I had trained and had the talent and ability of Linford Christie. Not many people can say that.
I have run The Grim Run and The Tough Guy Challenge several times. Hiked the 3 Peaks Challenge. Cycled the London to Brighton twice and now looking to complete an Olympic Triathlon.
I started running relatively late in life (in my late 50's) so will never make the Olympics, but I really enjoy the training and especially the buzz of a race!
Goals. Sub 20 minute 5km. Sub 40 minute 10km. Sub 90 Half Marathon. Complete a Marathon & an Ultra. Complete Olympic distance Triathlon.
Since 2002 I've been doing sprint tri's and achieved Olympic distance in 2004 Salford.Looking to do it in under 3hrs this yr.
Fitness freak! I'm a student in training, aiming to fulfil my dream of olympic success!! I am also a black belt in taekwondo, which has no use whatsoever in running.
you'll see me on the olympics...or maybe not...well it's possible...but not too likely...but it could happen....uuummmm
I am running london marathon in 2005 (have done NYork in 2002 and London 2003) Am also entered in London Olympic triathlon this year.
I run as it is great complimentary exercise for my Olympic Tae Kwon Do training. I only run about 40mins max trying to keep each run under 5miles.
