Have to watch my knees when I run so tend to stick to treadmills until the event then run on the road on the day. First 10k ever this year was the Manchester 10k Great Run.
Odd combo of a bodybuilder and a mountain runner. I never run on flat surfaces- uphill training only! Even treadmills are set to serious slope. Hey, everyone's got to be good at something...
I love running but sometines need a bit of motivation to get me going (especailly outside as opposed to the treadmill (which I have at home)
I'm a real beginner and only just started to run! Really enjoy going to the gym and running on the treadmill so thought would move to the next level!
I'm mainly a morning runner, it's a great start to the day and gets you focused for work. At weekends I have started to do hill sessions on treadmills.
I live in Southampton, but have been running for Oxford City AC since 1999. I train on Southampton Common and on treadmills at Southampton University, where I work.
Been running on a treadmill for nearly six months and foolishly thought I can change this to road running and take part in my first race, a 10k run this year.
I play tennis and although I haven't run recently I previously ran 1-3 times a week mainly on treadmill
I loved running on the road but after discovering I had arthritis in my hip was relegated to the treadmill. I do the odd run on the road as there is nothine like it.
I have Done treadmill running for a while. I have quit the gym piled on weight. I want to just start running now and doing weight at home.
