Advice needed on getting back to running, please!

I'm getting back to running after injury and feel like doing some small runs (eg 2 to 3 miles). I'm currently doing 20 miles a week (ish), over 3 sessions a week, but the sheer joy of running again, and the views around my sunny hometown is tempting
