on the web it sounds like Plantar Fasciitis. I have quite a high arch in my foot and the running shoes I have dont seem to support this. I'm in two minds whether to get new shoes with more support so close to the event or try insoles or just hope for the best

i woke up the other morning at 2.00 am with extreme pain and sweling in the ball of foot. so i got it checked out at hosp where i was told i maybe have plantar fasciitis and told to rest it and take ibuprofen. when i got home and googled it
