Races - How many a year?

I will be taking part in my second half marathon this year in September and I would like to do another one in December. I have been running now for two years - is there a sensible limit to what should be raced per year? Not really... Well, Maybe 4

worthy of a 'worst' tag, but the least enjoyed was the Norwich half, purely because of my near-death experience in the sweltering weather. Otherwise a very fine race! Similarly the Ely New Year's Eve 10K, but this time it was my horrendous pacing

the views were great. It was snowing as we set off & was freeeeezing. No more of Andems races until March....Boooooo...... What a great start to the New Year - Hard course, but enjoyable and great to get to the end.  Well organised, would do it again next
