Did this race for the first time last year. Just 4 miles - fast & furious (if it wasn't for the sand, groins, etc.) Great fun & it finishes at a pub.Any other forumites going? Might come & watch!I hear that entries are filling fast. Dunnarunner

Just got back from running 120km in Tunisia, no blisters and no problems - probably thanks to a sand gaiter I copied from one used last year by a group of Army lads made of kite material.If you're going this year, and haven't sorted these out yet

So anyone else up to the challenge. This is one fantistic course and despite only being 15 miles is more like a 20 mile race due to the soft sand, scrambles up 40 foot high sand dunes 70 foot staircases and other assorted hurdles to cross.Last year
thought it was windy at sutton park but hoylake showed us it's best. wind was across but against on the way out. a long straight slog along the coast, loads of kite surfers on the sand and white horses in the sea. though i had a real runny nose cold i felt
