didnt care plus they are alot cheaper. the guy was brilliant with advice and my pedals were only 40pounds. only prob is the spinning bikes at my gym are SPD and my shoes are for SPD-SL, i would really have liked to use them fopr my 2 or 3 times a week

wheels the biggest weight savings would come from ditching the disk brakes for V's; fitting lighter forks; getting a lightweight racing saddle; and using SPD pedals.but that's frankly not worth it as you then have to change the brakes back to be a decent

my first season of tri with MTB shoes as that was what I had,  don't think it made a lot of difference! The sights I have seen at Tri's make me think turn up in whatever you are comfortable in and enjoy it! Certainly an MTB with slick tyres and SPD

reversible pedals too - SPD cleats one side and then the cages on the other ? SO if you got SPD pedals for your bike as well, they'd be compatible with your spin bike. I'll have a look when I go tomorrow,I've always been a bit worried about cycling

for space in bus lanes. here we go again. a pedal argument getting in and out of them is more down to how tight they are adjusted, if it's for a mainly commute then get some mtb shoes with spd pattern pedal/cleats. you can walk about in them

I'd stopped and then come and unclip me so I could get up!On my hybrid I have spd one side and flat the other which is quite a good compromise but you need to be careful what shoes you use - carbon bike shoes on flat plastic pedals doesn't work
