Reality bites!
I've just completed my first speed session which was 4x1mile. I thought that I could manage decent times but I came in as follows:-1x 6.38 then 1x 6.48 and then 1x 7.02 and the last one in 7.15, all with 400 metres rests. How on earth can people

Hi all,I am trying to better my 10k time, currently 54mins on a flat course, and have looked at various training schedules. They all advise speed sessions like; run 4x800m@9:11 pace. How do I do this without a running track? I have a polar watch

I plan on running a speed session on Friday, as per schedule. I've been doing these on the treadmill - but this friday I won't have that option as I'm visiting home, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas?More specifically, the route I was planning

speedwork, it always helps :)I can only get to a track once a week so for my speed endurance sessions I do:-1 minute hard, 1 minute jogging, 10 times30 seconds hard, 30 seconds rest, 20 timesor if I'm looking to do some longer reps I do:1 Mile flat out

Just have a completed my first attemp at a speed session... it was mighty tough ..I tried to follow plan but this is what i managed:4 x 400 warm up jogging2 x 800 @ 3.30 per 800m3 x 400 @ 1.40 per 400mThen i had to slow and jog for a warm down
