Hi, I desparately need advice... again. I hurt my back 2 weeks ago and after an agonising attempt at a run when it felt a bit better, I got my injured self to an osteopath. He now says I can't run for another two weeks, but can swim. Any advice
to do some exercise urgently as I was hoping to step things up to lose a few pounds starting this month (I really do feel like a big horrible slug right now). Several people have suggested swimming to me, but I'm absolutely terrified of the idea, both
In lessions we are told to breath every 3rd breath, but it appears most prople breath on every 2nd stroke, why is this? which is best? all coments greatfuly recieved Depends on what you are doing, if swimming hard then every 2 breath may be needed

Has anyone read this book 'Total Immersion' by Terry Laughlin, and tried out what he says? About swimming crawl on your side; pressing your buoy; front quadrant swimming etc? Pressing your buoy?Is that legal???:-) Could be the answer to your prayers

and its really sore if i don't take ibuprofen.my question is, can i swim with a foot problem? there is no way i'm sacrificing my fitness levels just because i've hurt my foot.can anyone suggest other methods of fitness i can do that aren't too expensive
Hi allI'm doing some events where I'm going to need to run on slippery surfaces, but also swim without being able to change shoes. Does anyone know of any shoes that are good to use, that you can run in, with good grip and drain well if submersed
