Evaluation Nike says that the Streak can be used for everyday training. But unless you’re a super-fast, lightweight, neutral runner, it’s probably better to reserve them for racing.
As with most racing shoes, they’re not designed for heavy runners with severe motion control requirements. But if you’re a neutral runner, or mild to moderate overpronator, they’ll serve ably up to marathon distance. For a racing shoe, they have a decent-sized medial post for support. Zoom Air in the rearfoot provides cushioning, and a polyurethane shank offers midfoot support. On the outsole, carbon rubber on the lateral (outer) side of the heel and the medial side of the forefoot offers extra durability.
The Streak feels quite firm on heelstrike but its light upper and flexible forefoot offers a smooth, responsive ride.
