Evaluation The Supreme Control DMXi is Reeboks best motion control shoe in years, and you wont find anything more stable on the market. It uses a huge, solid plastic shank to reinforce a conventional second-density medial post, and boosts rigidity underneath the shoe with another shank to eliminate unwanted twisting. Combine that with a broad, totally straight last and a tough, supportive upper, and you have as much antipronation control as it is possible to provide in an off-the-shelf shoe.
Weartesters agreed that this was a model for heavy, severe overpronators only. Lighter runners would find the cushioning too firm, and the shoes stiffness drew a mixed response. Testers appreciated the support that the rigidity offered, but noted that although the midsole broke in over time, it still didnt lend itself well to faster running.
Also (a side-effect of the shoes huge motion control capacity): all testers commented on the Supreme Controls weight.
In short Supreme Control by name, supreme control by nature: this is a brute of a shoe with unbeatable antipronation qualities. But its only for heavier runners.
