11 APR 2009: TWO OCEANS MARATHON, SOUTH AFRICA

The Two Oceans Marathon needs little introduction to those who really know there sport - it is, of course, longer than a standard marathon at 34.8 miles, but the legendary course around the Cape and Chapman's Peak make this the Ultra Marathon of choice. It is always on Easter Saturday and you will be required to have run a full marathon in under 5hrs (or equivalent in another Ultra Race) between 1^st Sept 2008 and 1^st Mar 2009. There is a supporting half marathon. Minimum age for the marathon 20yrs. 

Packages include airport transfers, race day transfers breakfast and a sports bag.

The tour is based on 4-nights hotel only so that you can build your own holiday and perhaps hire a car or take an organised tour of the wine region or visit a Safari Park. Flights are not included in the price.

Hotels

Town House Hotel:  The 4-star Town House Hotel is situated in a quiet corner in the centre of Cape Town and in walking distance of the downtown shops, historic sites and restaurants. All rooms have bathrooms en suite, but single rooms only have a shower and no bath, hairdryer, air conditioning and colour TV.

Vineyard Hotel & Spa: This deluxe 4-star hotel is situated in 6 acres of parkland in the leafy suburb of Newlands and only 10 mins walk from the race start and finish areas. An historic building dating back to 1799, the Vineyard has spectacular views of Table Mountain. Rooms either have a courtyard view or mountain view - see separate pricing. All rooms have bathrooms en suite, air conditioning and colour TV and there is a swimming pool, fitness suite and spa.
