Boardman Road Race

This entry-level race bike looks better than it has a right to at this price. Standout features are the Shimano Sora shifter/brake units, while the 18-speed gearing delivers reliable shifting performance and complements the FSA Vero compact chainset, allowing you to tackle hills at a higher cadence. We loved how it felt on the road: the full-carbon fork soaked up the bumps and when we encountered a hill, the stiff aluminium frame responded well to a kick on the pedals. Voted best on test, TW June 2011.
