The sun’s finally out, which means it’s time to turn up the heat on your triathlon training. To guarantee you taste race success this summer, we’ve put together a series of training newsletters that combine to create an essential guide to the sport of triathlon.

Whether you’re tackling your first triathlon or returning to racing this summer, you’ll find the newsletters packed with training tips, gear and gadget suggestions and nutrition advice.

To ensure you’ve covered the basics, we’ve linked the newsletters to our excellent 10-week training schedules for sprint- and Olympic-distance races. We’ve also given each newsletter a theme to get you up to speed on every aspect of triathlon training in time for race day.

The first newsletter will kick off with essential nutrition advice on how to fuel and hydrate effectively to ensure you have enough energy to train hard and recover rapidly.

We know that open-water swimming can be a terrifying part of triathlon, no matter how experienced you are, so we’ve put together a guide to conquering open water. From techniques you can practise in the pool, to how to survive the swim start, we’ve got it covered.

Each newsletter will also help you to fine tune your training thanks to insider advice from world champion triathletes like Chrissie Wellington, Helen Jenkins and Alistair Brownlee.

As the race approaches, we’ll give you the skills you need to speed through transition and prepare meticulously for the big day. From the best brick sessions to time-saving kit suggestions, you’ll nail triathlon’s so-called fourth discipline to guarantee a head start on race day.

Sign up here and head outside while the sun’s still out.
