Swiss on a roll at women's Olympic Tri

London Olympic Triathlon
Athletes sweep past Buckingham Palace on the spectacular seven-lap bike course.

Switzerland's Nicola Spirig pipped Sweden's Lisa Norden in a photo finish at the London Olympic Triathlon this morning. Aussie Erin Densham finished just two seconds behind to claim bronze in the nail-biting sprint for the line. Great Britain's Helen Jenkins was fifth.

The race unfolded in dramatic fashion with several crashes on the first few laps of the bike course. One competitor was even 'run over' by another.

The crowds lining the run route in Hyde Park were massive, 10 people deep in places. If you're planning to watch the men's race on Tuesday morning, arrive early.
