If you've been training hard all winter, here's chance to reward yourself – by racing round the gorgeous island of Lanzarote.
We've teamed up with Sports Tours International to offer you the chance to win a race place at Ironman Lanzarote. The race is only six weeks away though – on Saturday 19 May – so you need to be fighting fit already if you want to be in with a chance of competing.
About the Race
Ironman Lanzarote is considered by many triathletes to be one of the most gruelling events on the IM circuit. The 3.8K swim takes place in the sea by Puerto del Carmen on the east side of the island, before the 180K bike ride around much of the island, including the climbs of Mirador de Haria and Mirador del Rio, and demands more than 2,500m of climbing. The bike ends at Puerto del Carmen where the seafront marathon begins. The 2012 edition on Saturday 19 May will be the the 21stin the race’s history.
