Bit tired
End of Marathon 2 at 03:30 on The Mall

I ran the course four times in 24 hours (well 22hrs08mins). I set off from The Mall at 5:20pm on Saturday 16th and ran to Greenwich, then Greenwich to The Mall, The Mall to Greenwich and then the Official Virgin London Marathon to raise funds for Shooting Star CHASE Childrens Hospice. This was a tough, tough run, as 104.8miles on road is not good for the legs, as mine are telling me at the moment as my quads are sore to touch, and the blisters on the balls of both feet, which I failed to keep at bay came to try and beat me but thankfully were only painful for the last 22 miles!

I am sorry I was not more responsive to the huge amount of people shouting my name and telling me I could do it, I was in my own world of torment for much of the official marathon, and slowly getting fried by the sun as I had forgot to put on any sunscreen. Great night/day out, but those last six miles seemed to take forever.

Well done to everyone who got round on Sunday, I for one am going to have a well deserved rest for the next few weeks.
