The Medals

My first marathon completed and what a great day the London Marathon was (especially racing to Wembley after to see Stoke thrash Bolton 5-0) but the slight disappointment is the medals, there isn't anywhere to scribe your name and time onto them :(

T shirts a disappointment too as they were all size large - like a tent on me!

It's part of the tradition that the shirt is cr@p. Mine fits fine but I am 17 stone.

Mine fits the whole family! (all at once)

What's in a tee-shirt? I know what you are saying but you don't run 26.2 miles for a tee-shirt, or a medal for that matter. you run to prove yourself as an elite athlete and thats what we all are, those that cross the finish of a marathon get the admiration and respect of family, friends and workmates, what more could you ask for?

Yuo can get your meadal engraved here - http://www.virginlondonmarathon.com/timing-bar/

and the t shirt is too small (if you are 18 stone and just done a marathon that is!!)
