Obstacle: Cutting down on exercise
Name: Angus Crawford
Vital stats: 27 / 178cm / Edinburgh/ Start weight 16st 7lbs / End weight 11st
Old habits
Previously a super-fit rugby player, Angus stopped exercising after graduating from university, but carried on eating the same amount. "My idea of exercise back then was a walk to the local takeaway," he says.
New outlook
Having been inspired by his brother's efforts at the Edinburgh Marathon, Angus took up running - this time managing to go straight past the takeaway. "I started to prepare my own meals, too - simple, but very healthy stuff such as pasta and fish dishes," he says.
Top tip: Stay positive
Angus was spurred into running when his brother taunted him after Edinburgh, saying he'd never be able to complete the course himself. "Now, I get people saying they could never follow in my footsteps," he says. "I disagree; if people invest their hearts and souls, anything is possible."
