Are you hypermobile?

The Beighton score is used to get an idea of whether someone has hypermobility. If your score is four or more, it’s likely that you may be hypermobile, so see a physio for assessment.

  • One point if you can place your hands flat on the floor while standing straight
  • One point for each elbow that can bend backwards
  • One point for each thumb that touches the forearm when bent backwards
  • One point for each little finger that bends backwards beyond 90 degress
  • One point for each knee that can bend backwards
