Great race, mud was just enough to make it enjoyable and not miserable! Well organised. Should have followed race directions to find the start rather than the Sat-nav - my own fault. Maybe distance markers or at least how far to go would have been helpful around the course?

Glorious mud! Friendly short race with a good crowd of runners and some excellent muddy bits. This was sold out for 2011 and I can see why - well organised, friendly bunch and generous deal (tshirt, medal and mince pies!)

Well organised and tough route Considering the race passes the bottom of my road this was the first time I have done it. Pleasantly surprised with the organisation and good to get a race that actuallt starts when it is supposed to and does not keep you standing on start line. Tough course with inclines at all points of course. Even though I use alot of route for training was surprised when you push yourself how hard the last 2 miles are.

Beautiful location - a few niggles to iron out Glorious Kent scenery on the edge of the North Downs, enthusiastic support and marshalling and a nice technical T-shirt at the finish. On roads and pavements all the way, mildly undulating (up/down hill a lot) until 10 miles and then downhill most of the way back. A pleasant way to start a crisp autumn day.

A few areas with room for improvement: postcode for registration was wrong (I wasn't the only one driving round in circles on the wrong side of Maidstone); parking at the venue was a bit of an unnecessary palaver; footpath for 2 miles alongside the busy A20 was very narrow, making overtaking rather more exciting/suicidal than I'd like; and finish slightly marred by having to weave through cars trying to drive along the road. Address those issues and you've got a near-perfect event.

exceptional marshalling i have have to comment on the marshalling as most people have, but it was supurb from start to finish, wonderful weather condition, nice medal and yellow t-shirt for winter training,on the downside my sat-nav took me to a housing estate. and i wasn't the only one. a20 was very narrow. and got stuck behind a tractor on the downs. but all in all a good day out.

Great course with a decent challenge The weather was great and the views on the course from mile six fantastic. About perfect running conditions allowed me to shave 12 minutes from my half marathon PB! The goody bag was excellent.

A special thanks to the marshalls especially those on the A20. It is the only small gripe that the A20 section is so narrow.

Overall well organised and friendly. Will see you again next year.
