Great value event in impressive surroundings. Really enjoyable and well organised event. Marshals were very friendly and supportive throughout. Relatively flat route with a few gentle inclines. Great value and hope to return next year.

Great start/finish location flat out and back Keep coming back for this one. Must be one of the best start and finish race locations. Then out and back along the old railway line with a little bit around housing and old brick quarry at Southwater. Great marshals, no chance of getting lost. Well recommended by me!

1st time at this race and it was fantastic. Great marshals along route all cheering you on, Lots of parking and only a small queue for the loos with a great finishing straight in scenic surroundings.

Free Jelly babies, water and chocolate milk at the end, along with the medal was great.

Only slight downside was lack of signage around the school but always plenty of helpful marshals about to direct when asked and a few loud speaker issues at start.

I have run this race a few time and its always a well orgaised, well marshaled event.

There are club runners, but its all easy going and the course is never crowded, and runners wait at the finish to encourage others on the finishing straight not just rush off as soon as they finish.

other event you pay a lot more and come away with very little, but not here...............

nice course, good atmosphere, recommend it very like the WSFRL events, with a good atmosphere, plenty of people from local clubs with a good mix of ages and abilities. The event took in part of the route of the Valentines Race with a nice loop round the lake in Southwater. Certainly one to do again

Phew, what a scorcher............. Scenic start/finish in school grounds and varied mix of terrain along roads, trails, paths etc. Seemed much hillier than I expected though that may have been more perception than reality due to the weather deciding to crank up the temperature by 5c or more than recently. Bit disappointed by lack of atmosphere at start however; just a few inaudible announcements then off.....!

A very well organised 10k race Pre-race organisation excellent.

Start - excellent.

Marshalling - superb.

Surface of course - multi terrain - road, track, field, pebbles etc.

Advertised as flat, but not strictly true.... A few undulations - but nothing serious by any means.

Finish - excellent finish line within scenic school grounds - nice straight at the end.

Free Jelly babies and drinks + medal.

Definitely will enter again next year.

great 10km race with the most senic start and finish I've ever experienced Such a lovely start and finish location in the quad of a beautiful school. Course along a traffic free old railway line with a bit of a housing estate. Got a best time for a 10k race over the last 3 years. Nice one! Would definatly do again.
