AS OF 2 JUNE 2008 THE RACE IS FULL. IF YOU WISH TO BE PLACED ON A WAITING LIST FOR ANY PLACES THAT MAY BECOME AVAILABLE PLEASE SEND AN ENTRY FORM AND CHEQUE FOR £25/£27 MADE PAYABLE TO "ABINGDON MARATHON" AND INDICATE "WAITING LIST" AT THE TOP OF THE FORM. WE WILL LET YOU KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF YOU ARE ALLOCATED A PLACE AND BY 31 AUGUST AT THE LATEST.
Road race licence 10218
Slightly different course this year: mainly flat, with the start and finish at Tilsley Park athletics track. It passes through the town, alongside the River Thames and follows a scenic two lap route through several villages.
Chipped timing, drinks stations every three miles, course support for five hours, police cover, some road closures, well marshalled, first aid cover, proceeds to charities, results available on website. Course not suitable for wheelchairs. All runners must be at least 18 years old on race day.
