Course mainly flat, with the start and finish at Tilsley Park athletics track. It passes through the town, alongside the River Thames and follows a mostly scenic two-lap route through several villages.
Chipped timing, drinks stations every three miles, isotonic drinks on course (Lucozade Sport at 14 and 23 miles), course support for five hours, some road closures, well marshalled, first aid cover, in support of local charities, food available at start and finish, results available on website. All runners must be at least 18 years old on race day. Course not suitable for wheelchairs.

In order to meet the requirements for the Abingdon Marathon to go ahead, any runner who is deemed unable to complete the course within the 5–hour time limit will be asked to stop and withdraw from the race. Please refer to the answer to Question 08 under the FAQ Section of the race website for full details.
The race does not allow the wearing of any headphones, including bone conducting technology, or similar devices (other than those medically prescribed). If you wear headphones at any time in the race you will be immediately disqualified, and will not receive an official finishing time. Please refer to the answer to Question 09 under the FAQ Section of the race website for full details.
In the unfortunate cancellation of the event through circumstances beyond the control of the race organisers there will be no refund of race fees.
