THE RACE IS NOW FULL AND WE HAVE ACCEPTED AS MANY ENTRIES AS WE CAN. PLEASE TRY AGAIN NEXT YEAR.
Same course as last year: mainly flat with the start and finish at the Tilsley Park athletics track. Passes through the town, alongside the River Thames and follows a mostly scenic route through several villages.
Closing date is 15th September 2006 or when the entry limit is reached if earlier. There will be NO entries on the day!
Wheelchair athletes most welcome.
Water stations every 3 miles with squash, jelly babies and other goodies available from mile 13.
Course support for six hours. Police cover. Some road closures. Well marshalled. First aid cover.
For those entering by post no entry acknowledgement will be sent unless you request one and enclose a small SAE marked "acknowledgement." Those entering on-line receive an automatic e-mail confirming their entry.
Accommodation information can also be provided on receipt of a large SAE marked "accommodation."
If you are entering for the Army Marathon Championships you pay an additional £2 to cover the Army entry fee.
If you are entering for the Oxfordshire, Middlesex or Berkshire County Championships, please indicate this when submitting your entry. If you are entering for the SCVAC,RRC or British Masters Athletics championships please provide your membership numbers as well.
Race packs will be sent out at the end of September/beginning of October.
