Bewl 15 2009 was voted 27th overal, 2009 and 2010 the Best 15 mile race and the Best race overall of July. All as voted by readers of Runner's World.
Bewl 15 is a Sussex Grand Prix race.
The new course is retained as introduced in 2009. Course best records times are: Male - William Levett of Tonbridge AC in 1.27.05. Lady - Katy Moore of Brighton & Hove AC in 1:37:25. Men's Team record held since 2005 by Tonbridge AC with 22 points and Lady Team record broken 2009 by Brighton & Hove AC with 17 points.
Trophies for the first 3 finishers of every Junior, Senior and Veteran class for Males and Ladies.
A Face Painter, Tai Chi Instructor and a Children's Entertainer is provided free for the children and the young at heart at the Greyhound Public House, who will have a BBQ at lunchtime. An attended free games area is provided at the Uplands Sports Centre for older children and a supervised dedicated play area for toddlers is provided from 10.30 until 12.30, while you run.
