A slight change to the route for 2008 sees the race start and finish in the same place – no longer the need to walk a mile to the start.
Following a change of venue and a new course in 2004, the Sleaford Half has retained its reputation as a well-organised event. The new route has managed to find hills in Lincolnshire. Mainly run on-road, the race features a two-mile section along the Viking Way. This feature is usually discussed in the RW forum!
The Sleaford Half is a friendly run, and although the course record is just over 78 mins, it is a race where the last person in is made to feel as proud of their achievement as the winner.
Ideal as a first half of the year, it is also timed well to fit in with training for the London Marathon.
