The 2013 Greater Manchester Marathon will benefit from a number of improvements over the 2012 race.
An amended route means a flatter course than in 2012 with only 55m of gain over the 26.2 miles which makes it the flattest marathon in the UK and one of the flattest in the world.
The new course also stays on main roads throughout the race which will maximise the astounding support that runners experienced as they ran in 2012.
There will be more on course entertainment in 2013 providing runners with more encouragement to help you reach the new finish line outside the iconic Old Trafford football stadium.
All race numbers will be posted out to runners and there will be a brand new, proven baggage storage system in place to ensure that bags are stored securely and returned efficiently at the end of the race.
With all of the improvements in place the Greater Manchester Marathon is set to become one of the finest and most enjoyable in the UK.
