This will be third running of the annual Kent Roadrunner Marathon.
The 2012 event scored an average RW readers' review rating of 94%, putting in the top ten of all road marathons in the UK. The race was also awarded Top 5 status for "PB Potential" in RW's 2012 Races of the Year review.
We host the event at Cyclopark - a brand-new multi-million-pound multi-sport facility in north-west Kent, just 5mi from the M25. Using a freshly-laid smooth tarmac lap, this course is easy to run on and completely free of any issues of potholes, traffic, navigation, etc.
100% traffic-free tarmac, this is a great chance to capitalise on your spring marathon fitness by running a very fast marathon. Six weeks after the London Marathon. A huge number of runners secured a new PB at the 2013 and 2013 events, showing us this is a fast course.
Our finishers' medal was the biggest marathon medal in Europe in 2013 and winner of Running Imp's Bespoke Medal of the Month (June 2013).
The 2014 event carries a UK Athletics (runbritain) race permit (licence number: 2014-9667). It is run on an accurately measured road course and as such the results are eligible for inclusion on the Power of 10 and runbritainrankings.com websites.
Race run under UKA rules.
