Sorry, the race is now full. There is no waiting list, and no entry on the day (Why? Because we actually only have room for 200 runners (National Turst rules, and the nature of the course), and we expect a 20% drop-out rate - 260 entries x 80% = 200 runners). Better luck next year....We are still looking for marshals (and you will get a free guaranteed place in the Munro in 2009!)
A half marathon distance on trails, incorporating at least 3000 feet of ascent - the height of a Scottish Munro. The route takes in eight tough ascents, and eight tough descents. There are pleasant views, but you won't be able to see much of them because of the sweat stinging your eyes. The entry fee includes a donation to the race charity (£1200 raised in 2005). Final race fee of £28 and £30 (unaffiliated) includes Runner's World entry processing fee.
Online entry only.

"What a magic run"
"Easily harder than a full marathon"
"A truly fabulous nightmare"
"Great event. It was brutal, but well worth it."
There will be a free run-through of the Midsummer Munro route starting at 4pm on Saturday 7th June. We will do the outward leg (the total course is out and back). You do not need to let me know you will be there (or not) for the run-through - just turn up. We will be going very slowly, taking in all the sights, history and geology of the course. The run-through will take approximately 1:45. Bring drinks, hat, sunscreen, etc... All welcome, bring a friend.
