This popular annual event is now in its 17th year. The day starts with fun runs for children of all ages from 11.45am with the 10k starting at 3.00pm.
The event has a reputation for being well organised with a fairly challenging course and a great family atmosphere. There's a small fun fair, bouncy castles and refreshments plus the Team Village where teams can set up their own HQ for the day.
Many runners return each year and, over the years, we've loved watching the kids progress through the age groups to the senior race.
Everyone who finishes gets a medal. There are also trophies for the first three in each age category and for the winning teams. Schools also compete for the 2012 Shield, awarded to the school that enters the largest number of children in the junior events.
Special earlybird rates for runners entering before September.
The whole event raises money for the Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre to provide support to people affected by cancer at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood, Middlesex.
