The most scenic race in Britain (Runner's World, Feb '06), panoramic views of the Lakeland fells. Well-marked and marshaled. Kendal mint cake at water stations. Cash prizes (for men and women) also prizes for veterans classes. Fantastic spot prizes - all finishers. Challenge for walkers and less competitive runners sets off at 9.30am. Time limit 4 1/2 hrs.
Entry includes: event T-shirt, post-race Wilf's meal feast, donation to Kendal Mountain Rescue. Kookaburra All-Stars 40 piece Brazilian samba drumming band playing at the finish arena.
Junior Fun Trails for U8,U10,U12 start 4.30pm from finish arena. Medal to all finishers. Class winner prizes, spot prizes.
