Building on the success of last year, join us in Race to the Eye on 17th March 2013 in aid of our charity partner - VSO! Test your endurance on 30km of the Thames Path either by walking or running. Two routes are available and they all lead back to one place – the London Eye. So sign up now for what promises to be a great day out for colleagues and competitors, family and friends and to help VSO continue to have a lasting impact on the world.
The event is open to all abilities and will be a great opportunity for everyone to see more of London on the famous Thames Path. Key sites include Tower Bridge, Cutty Sark, Battersea Power Station and the London Wetlands – so you’ll get a mixture of nature and famous sights!
How you can get involved?
• Running: getting ready for the big 42km at the end of Spring? The 30km of Race to the Eye will test your speed and endurance with just a few weeks to go before your big day and days before you begin your tapering. Come along with fellow runners to add some extra competition and beat each other back to the Eye!
• Walking: See the sights of the Big City at a leisurely pace and stop off at Pubs on route. You can walk in a team or on your own to savour the quiet or come and meet new people! This will be a great day out for all ages and in the process you can raise money for a great cause – VSO.
• Fun: Dress up – raise extra money for VSO by adding an extra spark to your challenge – take on 30km in your favourite fancy dress, maybe try it by hopping all the way? Or walking backwards! Remember that personal challenges can really help with fundraising.
