The Great Gorilla Run is a 7km charity fun-run with a difference. Everyone who takes part wears a full gorilla costume – from fluffy head to furry toe – to raise funds for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, the international charity that works to protect the world’s last 650 mountain gorillas.
Each fur clad runner haring around the City of London will be helping the world’s last remaining 650 mountain gorillas and everyone who takes part will be given their own fluffy gorilla suit to wear on the day and to keep afterwards.
Don't be scared that it's £100 to enter: your sponsorship can cover it. Just ask the Runners' World Forum guys who ran it last year! It's a a real scream! What's more, it'll make the perfect training run in preparation for the Great North Run (the week after).
You get to keep your gorilla costume!
