An off-road marathon and half-marathon held over the Tissington and High Peak trails in Derbyshire. The marathon is the traditional route from Thorpe to Cromford Meadows following first the Tissington Trail to Parsley Hay, then the High Peak Trail to Cromford, while the half marathon follows the High Peak Trail from Friden, near Newhaven, to Cromford. Both events are over firm compacted limestone and cinder surfaces on former railway tracks, making road running shoes ideal.
Registration is at Cromford Meadows, and a bus will take competitors to the starts, and return their belongings to the finish, which is also at Cromford Meadows. Registration is also available at the starts. EOD is at Cromford Meadows only, and is subject to availablity of places (200 per event limit). Transport to the starts cannot be guaranteed for EODs.
Because of the restrictions on the entry, we may have to close the entry lists early. For details on this, see Matlock AC web site.
CLOSING DATES ARE CURRENTLY 14 MARCH FOR THE HALF AND 4 APRIL FOR THE FULL MARATHON. THESE MAY CHANGE IF ENTRIES SLOW DOWN. ANY CAHNGES WILL BE LOSTED ON OUT WEB SITE
