An off-road marathon and half-marathon held over the Tissington and High Peak trails in Derbyshire. The marathon is the traditional route from Thorpe to Cromford Meadows following first the Tissington Trail to Parsley Hay, then the High Peak Trail to Cromford, while the half marathon follows the High Peak Trail from Friden, near Newhaven, to Cromford. Both events are over firm compacted limestone and cinder surfaces on former railway tracks, making road running shoes ideal.
Registration is at Cromford Meadows, and a bus will take competitors to the starts, and return their belongings to the finish, which is also at Cromford Meadows. EOD is not permitted (200 per event limit).
Because of the restrictions on the entry, we have traditionally had to close the entry lists early in the New Year. For details on this, check Matlock AC web site before posting entry.
