A weekend of racing in pictures: 5th & 6th April

"We all loved the Brighton Marathon yesterday. A fantastic race, started by the legendary Paula Radcliffe and with 17 of the 20 (19 in photo) achieving PBs, clearly we were all inspired. I’m the runner in the middle #1415 and really chuffed with my 3.31.29, 4 minutes quicker than last year! Two of us, me and Ian Bayley, the tall guy have run all 5 Brighton Marathons too!" -- James Simmons

"I'm Nathalie from Derbyshire and I ran the Manchester Marathon on Sunday. It was my first one in memory of my mum who died from cancer in 2012. I managed to get a golden ticket on Macmillan Cancer Support's team. The first mile was immense and my daughter vaulted over the barrier to run the last 100m with me. It was one of the best days of my life. Thank you Manchester." - Nathalie Shimwell

"My first marathon" - Linzie Lee

Paris Marathon - Lee Callanan

"Widnes Wasps Ladies RC were out in force yesterday dressed as Wasps for their part in the Greater Manchester Marathon Relay. Three of our members completed the full distance. Well done to all runners, including the amazing people who completed the full 26.2 miles. Inspirational. What a fab day we had." - Emma Buckley

"We just had another awesome weekend in Brighton as a family. The mini mile was well organised and fun. My two boys, William and Edward loved it." - Ruth Goddard

"On Sunday I ran the Brighton Marathon. Injured but couldn't not do it as the atmosphere is electric and the spectators never fail in providing that party feeling. The group picture is of me with some members of my 'crazy gang' running friends.  We had more of the members volunteering and spectating than actually running it. Thats how supportive and passionate we all are about each other's efforts and achievements." - Ruth Goddard
