Events: January 2014 5Km races

The Gravesend Floodlit 5K, 9 January

If you find you only have time to run in the evenings then you might feel more at home running your first 5K race in the same conditions. It's a night time race, starting at 7pm set on a floodlit track so you won’t be running completely in the dark. The race takes place on a cycling track in a new Cyclopark facility, which lends itself to first time racers with a flat tarmac terrain that’s traffic-free.

Gayton Run, 26 Jan

Set in the Northamptonshire village of Gayton, the track takes you through quiet and mostly single track roads, providing a peaceful, rural setting for your first race. The 5K option is ideal for beginners as it sticks to mainly flat terrain and avoids steep hills.
