My 2004 London Marathon

Time: 4:30

Seen here doing a bit of extra praying!

Best moment seeing my wife Sarah, Dad and son Tom at Buckingham Palace - closely followed by the cheer from all the lovely forumites at mile 18!  Jelly babies were well received!

Special thanks to my "official" supporters Shambler and Dr Nic plus the lovely LongDistanceBadger!  Also great to see TwoDogs!

Great day ending with a personal best of 4hrs 30mins (13min improvement over two years ago).

Rain was excellent running conditions.  I "blew up" at about mile 22 but managed to get going again for the finish - mainly to impress my family as I run past them at the end.

This was my "last" marathon, but I can't wait until I get accepted again next time!

I think I beat IDS and Jeffrey Archer as well which was an extra bonus!

Thanks again to the supporters and the photographer!  Brilliant day...
